Barbara Perkins is a Small Business Lending Specialist at Dogwood State Bank, A Division of TowneBank. She brings over 25 years of experience in government-guaranteed lending, including SBA, USDA, and FSA loan programs.

She began her career in banking right out of college, later transitioning into real estate sales before ultimately finding her niche in real estate finance. Her in-depth knowledge of the industry has become a valuable asset when structuring real estate-secured SBA loans for her clients.

Throughout her career, Barbara has worked with a variety of lenders, including Borrego Springs Bank, Sterling Bank, and Excel National Bank, consistently helping small business owners access the capital they need to grow and thrive.

Outside of work, Barbara is passionate about giving back to the community. She proudly volunteers with CASA of Madera and Fresno County, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for the best interests of youth in the foster care system. When she’s not working or volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially keeping up with her four crazy, active grandsons who always keep her on her toes.
